“Grassroots Generations”: Activities for Children & Parents

“Grassroots Generations” Co-ordinator Russell Collins tells us about plans for our littlest members…

This year for the first time, Grassroots Jews is excited to announce that there will be special children and family activities on both days of Rosh Hashanah
Day 1
Family yoga with Jo Cohen
1130 – 1230 in the Den/Moadon
Story telling with Charlie Kane
This session is aimed at toddlers but all ages are welcome
Day 2
Birkat Yeladim (blessing the children)
00:00 – 00:00 in the Ohel/Tent
It has become traditional at Rosh Hashanah and Simchat Torah to ‘call up’ any babies born that year to be blessed under an open tallit.  This year we are delighted to invite all children under barmitzvah age to take part in a Grassroots style blessing ceremony.
Family area
Children and families are welcome EVERYWHERE at Grassroots Jews – but we understand that our smaller members sometime needs their own space – so we have set aside an area filled with books and toys, which can be used throughout both days.
Grassroots Jews is proud to be 100% breastfeeding friendly
