Your words, your pictures, your intentions…

Elul is here, the month of contemplation and renewal before the High Holy Days. What better time to contribute reflections to the GRJ service booklet?

Every year the Grassroots Jews service booklet contains poems, pictures, meditations, stories and more from the GRJ community. And every year people tell us how meaningful they find it to read the booklet during and between services.

WE NEED YOU – your words, pictures, meditations, poems that relate to the themes of the High Holy Days.

Renewal. Revolution. Circles. Repentance. Forgiveness. Relationship with G-d, community and our fellow human beings. Anything else that moves you.

Add them here by August 18th at the latest:

Wishing you a meaningful Elul,

  1. I’ve found Elul is a time of beginnings. People begin academic study cycles, new jobs etc. In the UK people are gearing up for the long hard slog through the autumn and winter, For me the year really starts here and we should go in to the new year with the best of intentions to better ourselves and the lives of those around us. If you keep hashem close to your heart throughout then you will likely achieve this.
