We’re becoming a veritable year-round Jewish Festival Collective, so why not join us before the High Holy Days…
Singing the sorrows: Tisha b’av eicha reading. Tuesday 16 July 7:30pm – 10:30pm
Tisha b’av is the day that contains our communal collective mourning. Traditionally, we read Eicha, the song of lamentations, to mark this day. Join us to hear Eicha being sung, and to take part in an art-based study and discussion about tisha ba’av. This will be followed by a film-screening and finally a break-fast. This event is in collaboration with Moishe House London. If anyone wants to read a chapter of Eicha please email firstname.lastname@example.org
GRJ summer Seuda. AKA ‘a slightly odd midsummer night’ Saturday 20 July 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Join us in West Hampstead for a garden buffet and a chorus of Shabbat evening song (singing starts at 8:30pm). Please email email@example.com or reply via Facebook for the address, and so we know how much cake to get!
Ellul Art Camp Sunday 11 August, Time TBC
Let your creativity soar with this year’s Grassroots Arts team-in-residence to bring beauty and meaning to our High Holy Days space at Moishe House London! No experience or artistic ability necessary, just a willingness to get involved in creating our beautiful prayer space. As well as arts-based learning, there’ll be Jewish learning and meditation throughout the day.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to facilitate an art session.
Facebook event coming soon, watch this space!
